Sweet Words (Palabras Dulces) is a collaborative photo art piece that brings people of various ages, races, vocations, gender choices, and ethnicities together. They shoot selfies with a flower in their mouth, a powerful symbol I am using to signify the importance of beautiful (positive) speaking. This project is a social justice and mental health piece that underscores the importance of positive speaking. As depicted in this piece, mindful speaking supports mental equilibrium, social peace, and healthier relationships with the self and others. This is not a criticism of the efforts to bring awareness to our current social violence crisis. It's about how we speak and the words we choose with each other.
I place a mirror in the center for you to include yourself during shows.
This piece was exhibited at the ‘Anima Mundi’ show at Palazzo Albrizzi, Venezia, Italia, from May 10 til June 24th, 2024. Thanks to the awesome people of Its Liquid, Luca Curci, Seher Muhtar, Laura Piatti, and the entire team. They were a gracious team. One thing that is a total gift for me and the It’s Liquid team did not even know is that I love my art pieces to interact with other art genres. A performance that used rose petals was performed in front of my piece. How lovely.
A new expanded piece of 36 people will be on an exhibit in Rifle, Colorado, from August to October 2024.
Thanks to each of the wonderful people who said YES! and sent me a selfie!

I've loved taking pictures, especially since I realized how similar we are in our uniqueness. I have photographed many different social values we shared in common, activities, and moments that seem to unite us all.
Running to catch the bus. How many times have we run to catch a taxi, a friends' ride, a train perhaps?
San Lorenzo dancers are praying as they dance. These Aztec dancers keep their spiritual ancestral connections alive. Their human strength is a combination of all of the women and men who came before them. They dance in gratitude.
This reminds me of the Second War poster with Rosie the Riveter, a factory worker, flexing her muscle, with the title: WE CAN DO IT!
Nepal is a place of ritual. At any time of the day, monks and residents pray, wishing for all humanity's long life, happiness, and peace.
I am surrounded both by natural beauty and interesting people. I use my camera to document our bond with animals. There are many I know, and there are the ones who went to heaven and still love them. I love Ted, Muneco, Princess, and Gordis.
This is an important holiday where families unite to honor their ancestors or those who passed. While this important celebration happens at different times of the year for other countries, Mexicans celebrate it from November 1st to November 2nd.

Who knows a kid who seems to be a grandpa or an old soul trapped in a child's tiny body? I know a few.
